Announcement for our 3-2-1 Recipe

SURPRISE!  WE ARE ON BREAK
We will be back Monday, January 6th
with our NEW Bi-Weekly Monday Challenges.

First, we want to thank all of you for your dedication and participation in our quirky challenges, and for putting up with our shenanigans.  We promise you... this won't stop.

It has become increasingly difficult to find challenges compatible with our challenge dates. We needed time to finalize our new venture for 2025. We are optimistic these modifications will be more consistent with start dates and still maintain our quirky challenges with optional twists. So fasten your seatbelts and read about the plan:

THING 1:  Double Trouble's requirement will be a 3-2-1 Recipe, and ingredients will vary with each Challenge. The clipart to the left includes a sneak peek for our first challenge January 6th "Warm & Cuddly."

THING 3:  Twisted Sister will remain as an optional twist. In our sneak peek, she is excited and wants you to include a warm and cuddly critter.

THING 2:  Double Dare's dare will be an option to play along with our Sister Challenge, Try a Sketch on Tuesday (TSOT). (Check out the clipart in Thing 1's hand for the sketch.)  And sometimes there may be an Alternate Challenge.

The only requirement for eligibility for our random drawing is to play along with Thing 1's 3-2-1 Recipe. But we also encourage you to add some fun by using our optional twist and optional dare for additional chances in the drawing

Click HERE for details on our 3-2-1 Recipe Guidelines. Don't be a scaredy cat by letting this frighten you away. We suggest you take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with our new Guidelines for our 3-2-1 Recipe Challenges.  Most important is the content for Things 1, 2, and 3 and understanding our new concept. This 3-2-1 Guideline Page is a work in process as we go forward with challenges.

We are introducing "Ingredient Icons". These are primarily for use with the clipart but give you the ingredient's purpose and what crafting materials are acceptable. Experienced crafters may not require this level of detail, but at times, it will be a great reference for clarifying the ingredients in our challenges.

In the Guidelines, we have also included techniques that may appear in our 3-2-1 Recipe Ingredients.  Included may be brief tutorials or references for inspiration. This is another great reference for clarification.

The Design Team is excited about these changes and hopes you are, too.  If you have comments, suggestions, or questions about these guidelines that may benefit our challenges please email us at challengedoubletrouble@gmail.com.

We are looking forward to your continued participation in our challenges and seeing how you apply the ingredients in our recipes.

There are still two days left for scrapping in 2024... so take advantage and join us at Double Trouble. Simply scroll down or click HERE to participate in our "It's Up To You" Challenge and then ring in the New Year.

like a birthday, thank you, masculine, another holiday, etc... anything goes. It's Up To You!"

You can stop here
OR
play along with Twisted Sister's optional twist to help you earn another chance in our random drawing.

Thing 3: Twisted Sister
says, "I'm ready to wrap up 2024 - are you? Let's include at least one of the following on your project... ribbon, bow, string, cord, twine, Washi tape... OR, I'll even accept a die-cut bow!

"If you have included my optional twist you will earn another chance in our random drawing."

AND Don't stop here...
Double Dare has additional chances in our random drawing below.

Thing 2: Double Dare
says, "If you have created a holiday card, we encourage you to share your last-minute cards at Jingle Belles (one of our previous partners) to celebrate 'Wrapping up 2024'.

"AND/OR, if you have chosen other occasions multiply the fun by linking your project with other previous partner(s). Click HERE for a list. You will qualify for extra chances in our random drawing each time you link to a different partner with the same card.  Please identify each of them in your blog posting and include our Double Trouble link.
