Let the Troubles Begin!
This Challenge runs from
Friday, July 19th thru Wednesday, July 31st
"What's Your Drive-Thru Window?"

THING 1:  Trouble Maker
says, "July 24 is National Drive-Thru Day... a chosen day to pay homage to many Drive-Thru venues. This is the perfect time of year to venture out and pick up something. My favorite is an ice cream shop because a cone or dish of deliciousness appears when I get to the window.

"To play along with our challenge, create a project with a window or aperture cut of any style, shape, or size. There are a variety of window-type cards, easy and/or more complicated, and below we have provided a few tutorials for inspiration... the choice is yours."

Four Simple Window Cards
Three Peek-a-boo Card Ideas
Let's Make Some Cute Peekaboo Cards
Aperture Cards
EASY Pop-Up Window Card

You can stop here...
OR
play along with Twisted Sister's optional twist below "Christmas in July".

THING 3:  Twisted Sister
says, "While Trouble Maker was dashing through the Drive-Thru, I saw Frosty on the menu board. We don't want Christmas in July to slip away from us. So... if it's not 'snow' much trouble, my optional twist is to include snow, snowflakes, Frosty, and/or other snowpeople on your project.

Optional Twist: If you have included snow, snowflakes, or snowpeople in your project you will earn another chance in our random drawing.

THING 2: Double Dare
says, "If you have met Thing 1's requirement to create a window/aperture project and have included a snow/snowpeople theme, you are eligible to enter your project HERE at Jingle Belle's 'Dashing through the Snow' Challenge and qualify for an additional chance in our DTC random drawing.

This Challenge runs from
Monday, July 1st thru Thursday, July 18th
"YOU-nique Technique"

THING 1: Trouble Maker
says, "It won't be long and the summer heat will begin to take its toll so I have a few suggestions. If you want to 'beat the heat', use a dry embossing technique for our challenge. But if you can't 'beat it', we suggest you 'join it' by switching to a heat embossing technique - or use both for fun. If embossing techniques aren't for you, your last chance to play along is to use a stencil on your project. You must use at least one of the above YOU-nique Techniques on your project... it's your choice."

You can stop here
OR
play along with Twisted Sister's optional twist below to earn another chance in our random drawing.

THING 3:  Twisted Sister
says, "Looking for ways to beat the heat?  With the summer heat bearing down on us, being around water is the perfect solution for staying cool. I'm off to Disney World to enjoy the water experiences at the Magic Kingdom and drift down the river at the Jungle Cruise. Some elements to consider are the riverboats and wildlife (hippos, lions, zebras, and more). Along the banks of the river are lush foliage, butterflies, and waterfalls. My choice of element is lush foliage."

My Optional Twist: Consider your experiences at water and/or theme parks. Choose at least one element(s) that made your experience memorable then include that element in your project.  In your post tell us the park and element used in your project.

If you have shared your 'beat the heat' experience in your project you will earn another chance in our random drawing and be able to play along with Double Dare.

THING  2:  Double Dare
says, "If you have met Trouble Maker's technique requirement and Twisted Sister's Optional Twist you are eligible to enter your project HERE at Park Hopping My Happy Place and qualify for an additional chance in our random drawing."

Special Notes: The Park Hopping monthly inspiration board does not require participants to follow it precisely. Instead, you can use any theme or intellectual property listed under the Inspiration tab for any month of the challenge.

WELCOME to Challenge #169
 - Let the Troubles Begin!
This Challenge runs from
Monday, June 17th thru Sunday, June 30th
"Long and Skinny"

THING 1:  Trouble Maker
says, "For those in the northern hemisphere, the Summer Solstice, often called the 'Longest Day', will occur on June 20th. Of course, this refers to the day with the most hours of sunlight. We hope you’ll enjoy the Summer Solstice by spending time outdoors - but be sure to put aside some time to create. To commemorate the Longest Day create a Long and Skinny card, aka Slimline or Mini-Slimline.

"TRIVIA: Take a guess how long the longest day really is. Well, it varies depending on where you live. At the North Pole, you will have 24 hours of sunlight but if you’re close to the equator, you’ll have about 13 hours."

You can stop here...
OR play along with Twisted Sister's optional twist below to earn another chance in our random drawing.

THING 3:  Twisted Sister
says, "No specific occasion is ever needed for appreciating the beauty or fragrance of flowers. Our optional twist is simple - Use Florals on your Slimline.  Your floral images can be paper, stickers, stamped, digital, machine-cut, die-cut, punched, stenciled, and/or hand-drawn.

If you have included florals in your Slimline project you will earn another chance in our random drawing and are eligible for Double Dare's dare below.

THING  2:  Double Dare
says, "If you have met Thing 1's requirement to create a Slimcard or Mini-Slimline and have included florals you are eligible to enter your project HERE at Ellibelle's Corner I Spy With My Little Eye 'Something Blooming Lovely', and you will qualify for another chance in our random drawing."

Note: I Spy With My Little Eye has agreed to begin its challenge on Monday, June 17th to align with DTC's start date.

WELCOME to Challenge #168 -
Let the Troubles Begin!
This Challenge runs from
Sunday, June 2nd thru Sunday, June 16th
"We Dare You"

THING 1:  Trouble Maker
says, "It was Dare Day on June 1st! We all know that it's human nature to challenge others with tasks to test not only our own courage but also the courage of others. So, I'm daring you to come out of your comfort zone, and fearlessly create a masculine project.

"And what better time to make a masculine card than for Father's Day, Sunday, June 16th (in the USA).  This challenge is the perfect time to recognize fathers and other remarkable men in your life – a family member such as an uncle, a son, a nephew, or even a dear friend.

You can stop here...
OR I double-dog dare you to
play along with Twisted Sister's optional twist below to earn an additional chance in our random drawing.

THING 3: Twisted Sister
says, "Flip a Coin Day was also June 1st.  Just for fun, let's play along to determine your color theme using Colorful Options Challenge's color of the month or rainbow colors. It's simple... just find a coin and flip it by tossing it in the air.

"My optional twist is...  If the coin lands "heads up" you need to use primarily Aquabut if it lands "tails up" you need to use a rainbow of colors.  If you didn't get the color theme you wanted, flip again, remember, it's a 50/50 chance.

You can stop here...
OR I triple-dog dare you to play along with Double Dare and earn another chance in our random drawing.

THING 2: Double Dare
says, "If you have met Thing 1's requirement to create a masculine card, have used either shades of Aqua from the Colorful Options Inspiration Board below, or rainbow colors, you are eligible to enter your project HERE and you will qualify for an additional chance in DTC random drawing.

Colorful Options Guidelines:  All projects must be inspired by the monthly color OR a rainbow of colors.  If you choose a rainbow of colors, you are not limited to the traditional ROYGBIV rainbow. You can use a pastel or neon palette for your rainbow or even a neutral palette. You choose your rainbow palette.
