EMBOSSING

DRY EMBOSSING: Dry Embossing, also known as pressure embossing or texturizing, involves running embossing folders with cardstock and/or paper through an embossing machine to apply a design using pressure.

Embossing folders can be a great background on a card to add texture.

FAUX EMBOSSING TECHNIQUE:  Faux embossing in cardmaking is a technique used to create the appearance of raised, textured, or pressed paper—like traditional embossed folders—without using specialized machinery, dies or embossing folders. It is usually achieved through a two-tone stamping method (darker ink, then a lighter or white pigment ink with a slight, shifting paper (down or up and over) impression. HEAT EMBOSSING: Heat embossing involves the use of embossing powders and a heat source, typically an "embossing heat gun". Embossing Powder offers a wide array of embossing powders, including clear, super fine, and puff powders, along with various colors and finishes.

Stamped Images and Sentiments: These powders are used with VersaMark ink and a heat gun to add texture, dimension, and shine to to your craft projects. Sprinkle embossing powder over wet ink, tap off the excess, and then melt the powder with a heat tool. Ensure embossing powder is completely melted and cooled down before brushing off any excess.

Stencils: You can explore different techniques like coloring with embossing powders, using stencils, or layering powders for unique effects. These too can be a great background.
