WELCOME to Challenge #174 - Let the Troubles Begin!
This Challenge runs from
Friday Aug 30th, thru Sunday, Sept 15th
"Scrapper's Fruity GORP Recipe"



Thing 1:  Trouble Maker 
says, "Wow! It's time to celebrate National Trail Mix Day on Saturday, August 31st. 

Trail Mix features a colorful and tasty treat often called GORP   a combination of certain cereals, nuts, pretzels, raisins, dried fruits, M&Ms, etc.  Sounds delicious, but we also have our own Scrappers Fruity GORP recipe. 

"We require you to use your favorite fruit(s) in a fruity color mix.  Shop your stash for stamps, stencils, patterned papers, Washi tape, etc. to assist in creating your project. Choose images and items depicting both fruit(s) and fruity colors."

Thing 3: Twisted Sister
says, "Double Trouble's GORP requirement has already provided you with two elements (fruits and fruity colors) from Festive Friday's Harvest Inspo List. My optional twist is to include at least one more element from the Harvest Inspo List to enhance your project.  

"There are many choices: Add a scalloped edge to your frame, create a circular shaped card, put your fruit in a basket, use a background of lattice or gingham, etc. It's your choice. If you have met my optional twist you have earned another chance in our random draw." 


Thing 2 Double Dare 
says, "If you have met Thing's one GORP requirement, and have included at least three or more elements from the Harvest Inspo List (see my clipart to the left), then enter your card at Festive Friday #167 'Harvest' Challenge."  

Special Notes:  Your project doesn’t have to be about Harvest at all! Don’t believe us, take a look at the Design Team projects at Festive Friday's Blog. The selected festivity is a unique way to help you create a fun and interesting project! 

Double Trouble will keep this challenge open through Sunday, Sept 15th, but Festive Friday will close its challenge on Wednesday, Sept 11th.

This Challenge runs from
Friday, August 16th, thru Thursday, August 29th
"3-2-1 Recipe"


THING 1  Double Trouble 
says, "This morning I woke up with The Tra La La Song playing in my head... 'One Banana, Two Banana, Three Banana, Four.  Four bananas make a BUNCH and so do many more.'  Since National Banana Split Day is celebrated on Sunday, Aug 25th... let's do a BUNCH of layers using the recipe below from our kitchen."

3-2-1 Banana Split Recipe      
Three (3) Layers in addition to the card base,
Two (2) Embellishments, and
One (1) Image. The image can be stamped, hand-drawn, digital, or die-cut; your image need not be food.

Directions: To enhance the recipe you may use more than the ingredients stipulated but must meet the minimum required.

THING  3:  Twisted Sister 
says, "Hey! Color Dare has an Ice Cream Inspiration Photo and the colors are perfect for our recipe.  My optional twist is to include at least three colors from their Inspiration Photo for an additional chance in our random drawing."  

BUT BEWARE. You must use at least three of the colors included in the Inspiration Photo. Neutrals are acceptable and you may add more flavor with metallics, holographic, and glitter elements.

If you have followed the colors on the Inspiration Photo you have earned another chance in our random drawing and have qualified to participate in Double Dare's Thing 2 below.  

THING 2   Double Dare
says, "If you have met Thing 1's Special 3-2-1 Recipe and have followed the Color Dare Inspiration Photo #614 guidelines, you are eligible to enter your project HERE for another chance in the Double Trouble Random Drawing."

"What Makes You Happy?"  


THING  1:  Trouble Maker 
says, "I received this cookie from a fellow crafter and it made me happy because, amazingly, there are no calories, sugar or gluten to be concerned about. It should make everyone happy - even those with no dietary restrictions. 

"Most of us would like everyone to be happy. Right? It can be contagious when you share a cheerful demeanor and a positive attitude. We invite you to join us for Happiness Happens Day celebrated on August 8.  

"We encourage you to let your happiness shine by creating your project using cheerful images, happy colors, and sweet sentiments. Be sure to tell us in your post what item you believe most contributed to the happiness vibe of your card."

THING  3:  Twisted Sister

Special Notes:  If You Give a Crafter a Cookie Challenge #195 is open until the end of the month, however, the Double Trouble Challenge ends on August 15th.
