THING 1:  Trouble Maker

says, "Are you considering a special treat for a family dinner but running short on a theme? Well, National Nacho Day on November 6th could be the solution. This "official" Nacho Day will come and go but it's never too late to enjoy the event with a crowd-pleasing platter of Nachos Supreme. There are many ways to serve those nacho chips using delicious layers.  

"Let's carry this idea from the dinner table to the craft room. Our requirement is to create a project with lotsa layers... or at least three... delicious layers. Your card base does not count as a layer but cardstock, patterned paper, doilies, foil, die cuts, you name it... can be layered onto your card base and does not need to resemble nachos."

THING 3:  Twisted Sister

It's time for our yearly participation (November 1-8) at the 2024 Fall/Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop (a non-seasonal coffee theme).  It's BEAN one of our favorite Blog Hops and if you've BEAN there before, this Blog Hop is ESPRESSO-ly meant for you. 

So, if your project has included a coffee theme you too can participate HERE at the 2024 Fall/Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop for projects posted from November 4-8 and be eligible for a second random drawing.

"Let's Get Krafty" 

THING  1:  Trouble Maker 

says, "Did you know that April 22nd is Earth Day? Some businesses, like McDonald's, have reduced their usage of plastics and are using paper packaging that has been recycled from Kraft paper. Genuine Kraft paper is biodegradable, breaking down within a few weeks as it is absorbed into the environment. Every day should be a celebration of Earth Day, so let's get started now. 

"Next time you're out, swing by McDonald's and consider creating a project using an item made from one of these biodegradable, recycled materials. If that does not appeal to you, then let's go with something from your stash - Use Kraft paper, Kraft colored cardstock, a brown paper bag, corrugated cardboard, or any product made from Kraft-type paper."

THING  3:  Twisted Sister 

says, "Did you know, that Planet Earth is often referred to as "The Blue Planet" because from space the planet appears blue? This is the effect created by 71% of the Earth being covered with water. As Earthlings, we recognize there are many other beautiful colors, and while you may include other colors in your project, my optional twist is to focus on shades of blue. Also, please mention in your personal post how the photo may have motivated you to create your project."  

Optional Twist:  If you have focused on including shades of blue in your project you will earn another chance in our random drawing.

THING  2:  Double Dare 

says, "If you have met Thing 1's requirement to include Kraft-type paper and mentioned in your personal post how you were inspired by Inspiration Station's Prompt #60, you are eligible to enter your project HERE. 

This is no April Fool's joke... use their photo prompt of the Earth to energize your creativity and then tell us about it in your personal post."

"Pinch Proof"  

Thing 1:  Trouble Maker 

says, "Einstein still insists he developed a color theory and was inspired by all the green in Inspiration Station's photo so wants to celebrate St Patrick's Day.  

"Did you know, as the tradition goes, wearing green on Saint Patrick's Day is supposed to make you invisible to leprechauns? They will pinch you as soon as you come upon their radar if you don't wear green! 

"Ouch! Make yourself Pinch Proof and make sure you use green in your project. Your project does not have to be for St. Patrick's Day... you may celebrate any occasion but you must use green as your primary color."

Thing 3:  Twisted Sister 

says, "I'm a wee bit Irish so it's time to bring out one of my green tartan plaid kilts to celebrate. Why Green Plaid? Because I don't want to be pinched either!  

"My optional twist is to include plaid in your project. It can be a traditional tartan, a plaid, an Argyll design, or even a check like gingham, Hound's Tooth, or Glen Plaid. Check your stash for patterned papers, stamps, embossing folders, and stencils, or give us a free-hand design. Just tell us briefly in your description so we know the method you chose for creating the plaid or checked design."  

Optional Twist:  Include any check or plaid in your project and earn another chance in the random draw. 

Thing 2:  Double Dare 

says, "If you have met Thing 1's requirement, "Use the color Green", and whether you have included a plaid or not, you are still eligible to enter your project HERE at Inspiration Station. 

Inspiration Station's photo is to inspire you. Your interpretation of the Inspirational Photo is your own but Double Trouble has started you off with the color green. So let your creativity flow!

This is optional but if you enter the challenge at Inspiration Station you receive another chance in the Double Trouble random draw.

says, "I'm ready to put the chocolates away.  I'm looking for something colorful, sweet and spicy.  As it happens I enjoy celebrating National Gumdrop Day on February 15th, the day after Valentine's.   In celebration, let's choose at least three closely matched colors from the background of my inspiration clipart to the left, i.e., pink, yellow, lavender, white, orange, green."

I love this "chalky-talky" candy and can eat them to my heart's content. So, include at least one heart somewhere in your project."
